Our books
As small children, Beatrice Humphreys and her sisters face an uncertain future when their father dies, leaving them challenged by the harsh realities of growing up in the northern mill town of Failsworth in the early 1900's. This is a true story of the family's life based on Beatrice's collection of postcards kept in an old album, backed by historical fact.
Despite a childhood strewn with happiness and despair, Beatrice finally overcomes adversity to discover herself and finally, true love.

We all live in a box of time, but then so has everyone else throughout history. What if time now and time then exists side by side, as if it were happening laterally? The same space in existence, just people in different boxes of time? A continuous loop of reality, and the past and present meshing into one? Do we get the chance to glimpse through the gossamer veil when our boxes overlap?

It has often been said that we should be careful what we wish for; the grass is not always greener next door.
A chance meeting sets two girls towards a destiny neither would have expected.

Join Boodle and his friend Jamie as they go in search of adventures. This delightful collection of Boodle stories by Verity James is ideal for reading to children, and also for those who are learning to read for themselves. Lighthearted and child friendly, these stories are delightful with the brilliant watercolours by Pauline Potterill, bringing Boodle to life between the pages.

Monday Writers are a group of writers, based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire who meet every Monday afternoon. The varied work we produce is worthy of being published. The pleasure that it gives us to write, we share with you. We hope that you find our stories and poetry interesting and enjoyable.
Writers spread the words that many dreamers sow,
We take the tiny sparks of tales, and softly blow
and fire ignites the words, it makes our hearts aglow.
Weaving of our stories can take a lifetime though,
There’s a pleasure in the writing that only authors know.

Imagine never fitting into any of the boxes that life expects you to fit into. Applying for work, justifying school history and qualifications etc.
Pablo was born and grew up in a closed community in the middle of the jungle of Paraguay, having no knowledge of the type of life we, in Britain take for granted. When young Pablo arrived at Heathrow Airport in 1961, he soon found that he didn’t fit into any of those boxes. The culture shock and his own upbringing, exposing some of the bureaucracy and administrative stupidity that now surrounded him on a daily basis.
In his inimitable, uncomplicated and no-nonsense way, Pablo shows us how he faced these challenges, bringing his own brand of humour with him as he recounts his stories.
Infused with the delights and challenges of living and loving, of loss and gain, this poetry collection takes the reader through a range of emotions. - Belinda Rimmer.
This book, as the title suggests, is about love: the pain of it, the joy of it, the lack of it, the search for it, and how love refracts through the prism of a life. - Lesley Ingram.
