Terry Baldock

Terry was born in the East End of London a long time ago and had a successful career as a civil engineer, living and working for nineteen years in Hong Kong. He has always written for his own amusement and has been published and broadcast in Hong Kong and published in the United Kingdom. He is a member of the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH).
With the handover of Hong Kong back to China in 1997, the family arrived back in England. He now lives in rural Worcestershire, where he spends much of his time writing short stories and poetry, focusing on writing for competitions. Never short of inspiration or ideas, he easily takes a one-word theme and spins a superb piece of narrative. He is regularly shortlisted, winning several major prizes over the years.
His first book, ‘Even Dragons Cry’ is an intricate mix of intrigue centred around a lost jade talisman and the struggles of good against evil in the desire to own this mysterious object with magical properties. Set in June 1964 and based around the Beatles concerts in Hong Kong, Terry spins the web of deceit, trickery and disorder. Very well written and such an enjoyable read.
